Diversity Abroad
- SU Abroad is a member of DiversityAbroad.com and the Diversity Abroad Initiative (DAI). The goal of DiversityAbroad.com and the DAI is to increase the number of under-represented students, particularly minority and low income students, who pursue education abroad programs. In conjunction with the DAI, DiversityAbroad.com provides scholarships to students going abroad and participates in campus outreach to make students, parents, and faculty more aware of the benefits of education abroad. - Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship
The Institute of International Education (IIE) is now accepting applications for the the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship. Sponsored by the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs and administered by IIE through its Southern Regional Center, this program enables students who have limited financial means the opportunity to participate in study abroad opportunities worldwide. The program provides awards of up to $5,000 for U.S. citizen undergraduate students at two- and four-year institutions to pursue country-based semester or academic-year long study abroad opportunities. To be eligible students must be receiving a Federal Pell Grant at the time of application and cannot be studying abroad in a country currently under a U.S. Department of State Travel Warning or in Cuba.Please contact the Gilman Program office for more information:

Founded in 1897, The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi is the nation's oldest, largest, and most selective all-discipline honor society. The organization offers forty-five $1,000 study abroad grants nation-wide for students participating in programs between May 1, 2010 and June 30, 2011.

- NSEP (The National Security Education Program) Scholarship
NSEP supports undergraduate study abroad and graduate research projects for U.S. citizens studying countries, languages, and fields in areas of the world deemed critical to U.S. national security, including Asia, Africa, Eastern Europe, and Latin America. Areas excluded from funding are Western Europe, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. Funding support is based on program expenses and can be up to $10,000 per semester.For more information about graduate fellowships: www.aed.org.
