FIN 380.1 : * Principles of Finance (Tsinghua U) *
Description:
Taught in English The focus of the course is learning how a corporate manager can evaluate prospective investments and projects, and how to raise money to finance the projects. It examines discounted cash flow (DCF) valuation, the relationship between risk and return, capital structure and firm valuation. A short review of financial statements (balance sheet and income statement) is also provided.
Not open to SU Management students who must take a similar course on the main campus as part of their integrated core. For non-Whitman SU students, this course counts as FIN 301.
Class taught by Tsingua's School of Economics & Management and may not be available every semester. Tsinghua's exam schedule for this course may require students to stay beyond the regular SU Beijing program end-date.
