PTG281 : Introductory Painting
Description:
Figurative and nonfigurative painting in oils as the basis for study of color and form. Materials and approaches. A course fee will be billed from Syracuse to cover the cost of models and/or studio supplies, site visits in Florence and a day trip to Bologna (Spring 2010 fee = $255). Students will need to purchase or bring paints and brushes at an estimated cost of 100 Euro. Fall semester students also travel to Venice for the Biennale with an additional fee of $130 billed from Syracuse. Limited enrollment, with preference given to students admitted to Studio Art Program.
Prereq: FND 114 (Drawing) or equivalent.
