JAM280.1 : Beginning Metalsmithing I
Description:
Design and fabrication of jewelry. Techniques and materials. Craftsmanship and the jewelry-making craft as a fundamental art experience. Basic bending and forming, soldering technology and finishing. Stone setting. A course fee will be billed from Syracuse for studio supplies and a tool kit (2009-10 fee = $225). Students may need or want to purchase materials more appropriate to individual selection (such as stones and extra metal for larger projects).
