JAM280.2 : Beginning Metalsmithing II

Description:

Continuation of Beginning Metalsmithing I. Concentration on specialized area. Development of skills in specific areas of interest, such as overlay, etching, repousse, woodgrain technique (mokume), fabrication. A course fee will be billed from Syracuse to cover basic studio supplies and a tool kit (2009-10 fee = $225). Students may need or want to purchase materials more appropriate to individual selection (such as stones and extra metal for larger projects). Prereq: consultation with instructor.
