MAR300.1 : Principles of Marketing

Description:

Marketing as a major business function and social process. Students develop a full understanding of the marketing concept and learn how marketing interrelates with other business functions. They learn how to identify the political, economic, and social factors that affect an organization’s marketing decisions; how elements of the marketing mix work together, and how to understand the various techniques of marketing. The course offers an optional field trip to Nottingham with the course fee payable in London with Visa or MasterCard (fee announced in London). Required for SU students in the minor in management studies. It is a requirement or an elective for a few other management minors. Prereq: junior standing. Not open to SU management majors who must take MAR 255 (Marketing & Society) on the main campus with the integrated core.
