APH243 : Digital Imaging for Art Photography

Description:

This course aims to combine the best aspects of apprenticeship, fieldwork, studio critique and classroom training, blending traditional approaches with innovation. Ongoing studio assignments broaden students' approach and practice, with emphasis on the printing and final presentation. Students must provide their own digital camera with manual settings (better SLR cameras). A course fee to cover certain supplies and site visits in Florence will be billed from Syracuse (2009-10 fee = $305). Fall semester students will also participate in a trip to Venice for the Biennale with an additional fee of $130 billed from Syracuse. Prereq: APH 241 (Art Photography, Introduction) or equivalent.
