COM505 : Communications Law for Journalists
Description:
Survey of American communications law, emphasizing contemporary legal problems confronting broadcast, print and online journalists. Topics include libel, invasion of privacy, reporter confidentiality, access to information, etc. SU students may not receive credit for more than one of the following: COM 505, 506, 507.
Limited enrollment: to be considered, students should indicate their interest on the application form and list it among the first five choices on their Course Request form. Enrollment priority given to Syracuse BJ, MAG and NEW majors. Prereq: COM 107.
