APH340 : Topics in Art Photography: Intermediate Digital Photography

Description:

Projects, lectures and in-class critiques push the student to think about and discuss the content of the image, as well as the use of digital techniques in photography and in contemporary art. Lectures will be supported by DVD projections, artists' websites, exhibits and visiting artists. Students can use both digital SLR cameras and/or traditional cameras. A course fee to cover certain supplies and site visits in Florence will be billed from Syracuse (2009-10 fee = $305). Fall semester students will also participate in a trip to Venice for the Biennale with an additional fee of $130 billed from Syracuse. Prereq: APH 243 (Digital Imaging for Art Photography) or equivalent.
