CRS325 : Presentational Speaking
Description:
Techniques This course is designed to aid students in the development of public speaking and argumentative skills. Specifically, we will learn and practice the steps involved in developing a speech topic, organizing a speech, considering the audience, and delivering different types of speeches (e.g., informative, persuasive, ceremonial). Special attention will be paid to managing speech anxiety. Students will give informative and persuasive speeches based on site visits around London. Open only to juniors and seniors.
Limited enrollment. Priority will be determined by year in school (graduating senior, senior, junior) and major (communication and rhetorial studies, management, information studies, retailing and consumer studies). This course is cross-listed under CAS 325.
