Visa Information

Students must apply for and obtain a student visa to enroll in the SU Beijing Program.

This student has a visa.

Following acceptance to the program, you will receive official letters from Syracuse University and Tsinghua University verifying the purpose and the length of your educational program in China. With this letter and other documentation (including a valid passport), you will apply to the China consulate with jurisdiction for where you live. A list of Consulates of China and their jurisdictions is available online at the Embassy of China website. For the New York City consulate, go to http://www.nyconsulate.prchina.org/.

NOTE: Consulate requirements may vary. Please check requirements for the consular office that applies to your permanent residence. Most consulates require an in-person appearance to apply for your Visa. However, if you use a visa expediting service, this requirement is waived. See passportsandvisas.com for details.
